Arrival to Sappee Resort

Arrival in Sappee:

Sappee Resort is located in Pirkanmaa, Pälkäne.

From Tampere:
Take road 12, Teiskontie. Stay in the left lane and continue on road 12 towards Lahti/Kangasala.
Turn left onto Pälkänevedentie 322.
Sappeentie 3230 turns left after approx. 16 km. Continue on this road for approx. 4 km and turn right onto Sappeenvuorentie. Now it’s just a 2 km drive up the road to Sappee.
Driving time is approx. 55 min, about 60km.

From Helsinki:
Take road E12/3 to Hämeenlinna and then take the exit to road 57, Pälkäneentie.
When you reach road 12, Lahdentie, turn left and continue on the road until you come to an intersection to the right, Pälkänevedentie 322.
Sappeentie 3230 turns left after approx. 16 km. Continue on the road for approx.
4 km and turn right onto Sappeenvuorentie. Now it’s just a 2 km drive up the road to Sappee.
Driving time approx. 1h 50min, about 164km.

From Turku:
Take the E63/9 highway until you reach road E12/3 . Take the exit to road 304 (Lempääläntie).
Continue to Sääksmäentie 310 and then left to Apiankatu 307.
When you reach road 12, Lahdentie, turn left and continue on the road until you come to an intersection to the right, Pälkänevedentie 322.
Sappeentie 3230 turns left after approx. 16 km. Continue on the road for approx. 4 km and turn right onto Sappeenvuorentie. Now it’s just a 2 km drive up the road to Sappee.
Driving time approx. 2 h 20 min, about 188km.

From Jyväskylä:
Take road E63/9 towards Jämsä. Take the exit to Lahdentie (24). Turn right, Tampereentie (325). Rautajärventie 322 turns left. Continue on this road until you turn right to Sappeentie 3230. Continue on the road for approx. 4 km and turn right onto Sappeenvuorentie. Now it’s just a 2 km drive up the road to Sappee.
Driving time approx. 2 h, about 153km.

Public transportation:
Unfortunately, there are currently no public transportation options to Sappee.

Toilet facilities:
Toilet facilities can be found in our restaurants. Restaurant Huippu is the closest premises when you arrive to Sappee. There are a couple of toilets on the street level (also the accessible toilet) and more on the ground floor of the restaurant. You can get to the lower floor via the stairs on the left as you enter from the street level, or coming in from the slopes, enter through the door under the restaurant terrace. There is also a childcare room on the ground floor.

First aid:

Accident are unfortunately bound to happen every now and then, whether on the slopes or during other activities. Thankfully Sappee always has trained staff on duty to provide first aid; Ski patrol in the winter and Bike patrol in the summer. You can contact them through the lift staff or by contacting the ticket desk or rentals.
Patrols do not have medical licenses, so please take painkillers with you if you suspect you might need them. The EA (First Aid) room is located at the end of the rental building on the ground floor, right next to the slopes.

Accommodation:

In your booking confirmation sent by e-mail, you will find all the necessary information on where and when to pick up your keys. If we have agreed on payment upon arrival (last minute travel deal), the payment must be made at the lift ticket desk in the winter season and at Bike Park bike rentals desk in the summer. Check-in for the caravan site is also at these places.

Cross-country skiing tracks and hiking trails:

The easiest way to get to the skiing tracks is from the edge of the sandy section at the back of the parking lot. There are signposts on the routes. The hiking trails are in use during the summer (skiing tracks). In the middle of the 2.5 km track there is also an approx. kilometer long walking route to a lean-to and back. Sappee’s outdoor trails

Your picnic meals and barbecue:

It is possible to have your own picnic meals at a lean-to or a teepee-like hut.
There is a large teepee hut behind the rental building which is available whenever the resort services are open, both in winter and in summer. There is also a teepee hut in the Family Park that can be used with a valid Family Park ticket or a lift ticket for all slopes. In the summer, this hut is not in use.
There is a lean-to at the edge of the main slope and another lean-to can be found next to the start of the Frisbee golf track. There are also lean-tos along the hiking routes. All of these have firewood ready, please bring your own kindling supplies.

There are two charcoal grills next to the playground at the edge of the parking lot. Coals and lighter fluids are found on site.
