Frequently asked questions about Sappee’s Winter Deal

What an incredible offer! How do I book?

The package can be booked through Sappee’s Sales Service either by phone (0207559975) or by e-mail (majoitus(at)sappee.fi). You can also fill out the contact form on the Winter Deal website and we’ll get back to you.

Before contacting us, please decide on your preferred dates and how many people you are travelling with. The package is very popular and sells out quickly, so as soon as you know your dates, I suggest making a booking.

What information do you need to make a booking?

We need the customer’s contact information: name, address, phone number and e-mail address. We also need the number of people in the group and the ages of small children.

We are travelling with two children under the age of 4, how does the package work for them?

A child under 4 years of age does not need a lift ticket, but if they wish to go skiing or snowboarding, they of course need equipment. Even for a child that only needs equipment, the package is the best option.

If the child doesn’t go to the slopes at all, they only pay for the accommodation portion of the package which is 40€/person during weekdays and 88€ during weekends. Children under the age of 2 are free of charge, as long as the minimum payment of the accommodation is reached without them.

From age 4, the full package price of 110€/person on weekdays and 220€/person on weekends applies.

We already have season passes or some of us don’t ski or snowboard, but we would still like to stay at Sappee. How much does the package cost for us?

The package cannot be modified. The super affordable package price includes lift tickets and equipment for three days. If you feel like you don’t need everything the package has to offer, you are welcome to look at normal accommodation and ticket prices – many times it is still cheaper to get the package even if you don’t use every portion of it. What does minimum payment for an accommodation mean? Or extra cost when choosing a larger accommodation?

Minimum payment means the minimum rent price of the accommodation, which is determined occupancy number.

Example 1: A family of 4, with 1 child over the age of 4 and one child under the age of two.

If they choose to stay in an accommodation with a minimum occupancy of 4, the price is 3 x 110€ for two adults and one 4+ year old child, and 40€ for the accommodation of the youngest child (88€ on weekend bookings).

If they choose to stay in an accommodation with a minimum occupancy of 3, the youngest can come along free of charge, as the minimum occupancy is already covered by the three other family members.

If fewer people than the minimum occupancy stay at an accommodation, the rent must still be paid to cover the minimum occupancy.

Example 2: Three guests stay at an accommodation with a minimum occupancy of four. Their package price will be 3 x 110€ + 40€ for the “missing” person (88€ on weekend bookings).

Example 3: Four guests stay at an accommodation with a minimum occupancy of six. Their package price will be 4 x 110€ + 40€ + 40€ (2 x 88€ on weekend bookings).

So, even with a smaller group, you are able to book a larger accommodation by paying the extra cost for the missing persons.

Office costs of 22€ are always added to the package price.

How and where do I pick up my accommodation keys, lift tickets and rental equipment?

The keys to your accommodation can be picked up starting at 16.00 from Sappee’s key collection point. After booking we have sent you an e-mail order confirmation that has all the information you need regarding key pick-up, unless agreed otherwise.

The lift tickets can be picked up at Sappee’s ticket desk. Please note that the price of the ticket does not include a smart card (Axess chip card). You can bring along your own card (some cards from other ski resorts also work, but not all). If you don’t have an existing card, you can buy one at the ticket desk for 8€/card. The ticket desk is open during weekdays and Saturdays from the time slopes open until 18.00 and on Sunday from the time slopes open until 17.30. After the ticket desk is closed, you can pick up your tickets at our rentals desk. You need the name of the person who made the booking OR your order confirmation number when picking up your tickets and equipment.

You can pick up your equipment from the rentals desk, or if you have purchased the service to have them ready adjusted for you, you can pick them up from our rentals pick-up point.

You can pick up your equipment and tickets as soon as the slopes open on your arrival day, so you can come ski even before you get your accommodation keys.

Is it possible for me to purchase a late check-out?

Availability permitting, it is possible to purchase a late check-out at the Sappee ticket desk on your arrival day. A late check-out cannot be purchased for a Friday departure. The cost of a late check-out is 40€ for Sappee Chalets apartments and 70€ for cabins. With the late check-out, you can stay at the accommodation until 18.00, when normally check-out time is at 12 noon.

What about bed linen, towels and final cleaning?

The price of Sappee Chalets Apartment hotel accommodation always includes bed linen, towels and final cleaning as well as toilet paper and kitchen roll for the amount of people in the booking.

The price of cabin accommodation does not include bed linen, towels, toilet paper or kitchen roll.  You can either bring your own or we can deliver them to the cabin for 16€/person (incl. bed linen, towels and tp & kitchen roll). For 24€/person the beds will be made ready for you.

Final cleaning must be done by the guest on the departure day or purchased from us ahead of time. The price of final cleaning is 120€-220€, depending on the size of the cabin. Some of the cabins have mandatory final cleaning fees (Linnanneito, Sappeen Aateli, Sappeen Tähti 5) that are added to the accommodation price, these cabin cannot be self-cleaned.

Can I pay for the package with exercise benefits or Sappee vouchers?

Unfortunately the package cannot be paid with exercise or culture benefits (ePassi, Edenred, Smartum etc.).
Sappee Vouchers purchased from our christmas calendar also cannot be used as payment.
Sappee Vouchers purchased at normal price (with cash or bank transfer) can be used to pay for the package.

Can I cancel my booking?

There are no refunds for the booking after payment. The booking is always paid in full before arrival.

The booking is not automatically considered cancelled if it hasn’t been paid by the due date.
